Angstrom Iron Supplement Review: Liquid Iron Without the Stomach Upset
Iron pills wrecked my stomach every time I tried them, so I switched to the Angstrom Minerals liquid iron supplement to see if a different delivery method would be gentler. It's been a noticeably easier addition to my routine.
Dosage and Formula
Each teaspoon delivers 10mg of elemental iron (2000 ppm) alongside added Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), which helps with iron absorption. The 32 oz bottle is rated for 192 servings, so it lasts a long time at the standard 1 tsp dose.
Taste, Honestly
The brand itself describes the taste as "like a little like bloody lip," and that's a fair description, it's a mineral-forward flavor you notice. I found it tolerable straight or mixed into juice, but it's not going to taste like a fruit punch supplement.
Pros
Pros: gentler on the stomach than iron pills in my experience, includes Vitamin C for absorption, large 192-serving bottle, straightforward liquid dosing.
Cons
Cons: distinct mineral taste won't appeal to everyone, this is a supplement and not a substitute for medical guidance on iron deficiency.
Currently $30.95, down from $33.95. Check the current Angstrom Iron deal here.
