AquaSprouts 10 Gallon Aquaponics Garden Review: My Desktop Ecosystem
I had been wanting an indoor herb garden for years but never had the patience for constant watering and soil mess. The AquaSprouts 10 Gallon Aquaponics Garden combines an aquarium with a hydroponic grow bed, so the fish waste actually feeds the plants.
How the Ecosystem Works
It is a self-cleaning tank system, the fish provide natural fertilizer for the plants growing above, and the plants help filter the water for the fish. It is marketed as a beginner friendly setup for home, classroom, or office use.

Everyday Upkeep
Once it was cycled and running, upkeep has been genuinely lower than I expected from either a standalone garden or a standalone fish tank, since each system supports the other.

Pros and Cons
Pros: combines two hobbies in one countertop footprint, genuinely low maintenance once established, good beginner documentation. Cons: the checkout showed pricing in local currency for me, converting to roughly 180 dollars on sale, so confirm the total at checkout.
