Dawg Food Chicken [Original] Review: The Human-Grade Kibble My Dog Actually Runs to the Bowl For

My dog has always been a picky eater, rotating through kibble brands every few months once he got bored. Dawg Food's Chicken [Original] recipe is the first one that's held his attention past the first week, and the ingredient list is simple enough that I actually recognize everything in it.

Ingredients That Read Like a Grocery List

Real chicken as the first ingredient, no mystery meat meals or filler grains stacked at the top of the label. It's noticeably different from the bag of generic kibble we used to buy — less dusty, more like actual dehydrated food.

Dawg Food Chicken Original ingredients Dawg Food Chicken Original nutrition

Pros

Pros: simple, recognizable ingredient list, my dog eats it eagerly instead of picking around it, coat and energy noticeably better after a few weeks.

Cons

Cons: priced higher than standard grocery-store kibble, which is the tradeoff for the ingredient quality.

At $79.99, it's become our default now that he's not bored of it. Check out Dawg Food's Chicken Original recipe here.
