Decoralist Newbury Leather Umbrella Stand Review: Slim, Sturdy British Craftsmanship

Entryway storage is always a puzzle when space is tight, and most umbrella stands I found were too bulky for my hallway corner. The Newbury Leather Umbrella Stand from Howat & Hutchinson, sold through Decoralist, was slim enough to actually fit.

Design and Craftsmanship

At Height 66cm x Width 18cm x Depth 18cm, the Newbury is noticeably slimmer than its sibling, the Ledbury stand, which made it the right call for my smaller corner. I paid 8.617.000₫ (roughly $340 USD) for it in the standard leather finish - it's also available in a classic tan cowhide.

Everyday Use

Beyond umbrellas, I've used it for walking sticks and even a couple of golf clubs when I needed quick storage near the door. The leather has a substantial, well-made feel that fits a more traditional entryway aesthetic.

Pros

Pros: Genuinely slim profile for tight spaces, versatile beyond just umbrellas, quality leather construction, also available in tan cowhide.

Cons

Cons: Premium price point for an umbrella stand, and shipping estimates are geared toward UK delivery timelines.

Final Verdict

A stylish, space-conscious entryway piece if you're willing to invest. See the Newbury Umbrella Stand here.
