Boiling my menstrual cup on the stove every month always felt like a chore I'd forget about until it was urgent. Hello Period's Hello Steamy steriliser promised a faster, more convenient way to sanitize between cycles, so I tried it out.
Priced at around 940,000 VND (roughly $38, depending on the exchange rate), this compact device sterilises your cup or disc at the touch of a button using steam, instead of a pot of boiling water on the stove.
The whole cycle takes just a few minutes and the base is small enough to sit on a bathroom counter without taking up much space. No more watching a pot to make sure it doesn't boil dry - just press the button and walk away.
Pros: Fast steam cycle, works for both cups and discs, compact and easy to store, far more convenient than stovetop boiling.
Cons: Requires access to an outlet, so it's not as travel-friendly as boiling water anywhere.
