Curl gels tend to fall into two camps: too weak to hold shape, or so stiff they crunch when you touch them. Inhairitance's Hold It Right There gel (8oz) from their CurlCare line claims to land in the sweet spot between the two.
I applied it to soaking wet curls, raking through with my fingers before scrunching. It's a clear gel with a moderate slip that made detangling easier than some of the thicker gels I've used before.
Once fully dry, my curls held their shape through a full day without going limp, and scrunching out the cast left soft, touchable curls rather than a hard crunch. Humidity did test the hold a bit by evening, but overall frizz stayed noticeably more controlled than my usual routine.
Pros: soft cast that scrunches out easily, good detangling slip, solid all-day hold with light frizz control.
Cons: hold weakens somewhat in high humidity; priced around $26 CAD (roughly $19 USD, depending on the exchange rate).
