Oui The People Souk Honey EDP Review: Orange Blossom Meets Manuka Honey

Fragrance shopping usually means wading through a hundred 'clean, fresh, universally likable' scents that all blur together. Souk Honey by Oui The People is not that. It opens with white florals and orange blossom, then settles into a warm, slightly smoky manuka honey base that actually smells like somewhere - a spice market at sunset, not a laundry aisle.

The Opening

The first spray is bright and a touch sweet, dominated by orange blossom. It is not powdery or old-fashioned the way some white florals can be - there is a modern, almost tea-like green edge underneath.

The Drydown

After 20-30 minutes, the honey note takes over. It is warm and a little resinous rather than sugary - more amber than candy. On my skin it lasted a solid 6+ hours, with the honey base clinging longest.

Pros and Cons

Pros: distinctive scent profile, good longevity, feels special enough for evenings out, clean ingredient list.

Cons: at $130 it is a splurge, the honey note may be too warm for those who only like fresh/citrus scents.

Final Verdict

Souk Honey is for anyone bored of safe, forgettable perfumes. It is not an everyday coffee-run scent - it is a save-it-for-when-you-want-to-feel-like-something scent.
