Beauty subscription boxes are a mixed bag most months, so I went into P.Louise's Budget Box expecting filler. Instead I got a genuinely usable summer lineup.
This month's "Hot Spot" edit included two full-size Cheek Of It Liquid Blushes (Sweet Sundae and Naughty Nectarine), a Finishing All Over Body Glow, a Handle The Heat Mascara, a tinted lip conditioner, and a branded makeup bag — all full-sized products to actually test, not sample sachets.
At £30 a month for full-sized products (versus £45 for the one-time purchase version), the math works out well if you're already curious about P.Louise's blush and mascara formulas. The mascara in particular impressed with its buildable, lightweight formula.
Pros: Full-sized products every month, strong value versus one-time pricing, fun seasonal themes, includes a bonus makeup bag.
Cons: Subscription billing on the last day of the month can catch you off guard, shade/scent lineup rotates so you can't pick contents in advance.
