My Bronco's factory rear speakers were serviceable at best - tinny and underpowered compared to what I wanted on longer highway drives and trail runs with music going. SSV Works' Rear Speaker Pod upgrade fixed that without a complicated install.
Since this kit uses the factory harnessing, installation was genuinely plug-and-play on my standard factory system. I paid $329.00 (down from $339.99) for the SSV Works speaker option, though a Kicker speaker option is also available.
The 6.5" 120W speakers are a clear step up in volume and clarity over stock. The pods themselves are injection molded ASA plastic with powder-coated steel support plates, built to handle extreme temperature swings on and off-road.
Pros: True plug-and-play installation, noticeable audio improvement, weatherproof build, limited lifetime warranty on speakers and pods.
Cons: Only fits 4-Door Broncos - not compatible with 2-Door models or the Bronco Raptor.
