Elena Apparel was founded in 2019 by Emma Brown with the goal of providing high quality gym wear. Elena was originally called Empower clothing and quickly became a top seller on depop. Elena had incredible success and saw fast growth between putting this down to affordability, customer service and quality. However, in 2022 when Emma had her daughter she struggled with trying to balance it all and the business saw static growth between . In 2024, Emma brought Jessica West in to the business as an opportunity to reignite the business. Emma and Jessica met as Jessica had signed up to become an affiliate and was already in love with the brand; Jessica was already running multiple businesses of her own and had a passion for Elena. They bonded over kindness and quickly realized whilst they were a generation apart their values were very much aligned. Emma brought Jessica on as a co-founder in 2024, Jessica helped to re brand and brought new ideas and insights from her experience as a fitness professional and serial entrepreneur.
