New Power Pet SMART Roll Up automatic dog door In 2025, we introduced our new flagship product, the Power Pet Roll Up Smart Door. This innovative design features a very modern aesthetic with an ingenious flap that is strong and rigid when closed but rolls up into a small compartment to save vertical space. The door is professional construction grade made with high strength aluminum side rails, ABS composite housings and ultra-strength polycarbonate roll up flap to create an extremely strong door that is also lightweight and easy to install. High Tech Pet's automatic door technology is built on robust, proprietary ultrasonic transceiver technology. This method of pet detection is far superior to other more commonly used techniques including RFID, Bluetooth and Ultrawideband. Only ultrasonic technology provides directional sensing that opens the door when your pet is on a direct approach, not when it is just wandering by or sleeping close to the door. Ultrasound provides precise ranging within one inch. Other technologies penetrate doors and walls so it is impossible to isolate the inside sensor from the outside sensor. Because ultrasound does not pass through the unit, we can absolutely isolate inside from outside allowing us to provide dual range controls to create separate entry and exit activation distances. We can also create 4-Way Access allowing ENTER ONLY, EXIT ONLY, ENTER AND EXIT, and CLOSED & LOCKED modes. At High Tech Pet, we are experts in transmitting and decoding ultrasound.
