She recalled the aromas of her childhood kitchen in Singapore, where her mother spent hours preparing traditional, qi-boosting brews. She recalled the sense of calm, of care and her mother's reverence for the recipes handed down through generations. These time-honored concoctions had nurtured, restored and healed Rebecca for so many years, so why had she forgotten them? Time. The reality of Rebecca's days, of all of our days, didn't leave much room for prolonged preparations. Rebecca began to study the use of traditional herbs, determined to reinterpret the lessons of the past for today. Drawing on her Le Cordon Bleu experience, she experimented with herbal blends that would delight the senses while unleashing their restorative power with ease. When family and friends began to flock to Rebecca's home to enjoy her new tisanes, qìsane was born. Today, qìsane's mission is unchanged: to share flavorful, convenient and nurturing tisanes with everyone who needs them.
