The year it all started. Burning Man, 2025. SugarFur started with a terrible coat. I bought a cheap light-up coat for Burning Man and it was so bad I sent it back. I just wanted a coat that actually felt magical to wear — quality you could feel, a glow that looked intentional, at a price that made sense. After Burning Man, I spent three months obsessing — day and night. Designing, sourcing, refining. I wasn't following a business plan, I was following my heart. And the wild thing was: every time I did, the right thing showed up. The right materials. The right people. The right timing. I quietly launched around Halloween 2025, selling on TikTok out of my place in Los Angeles. Honestly? I was scared the whole idea was silly. I started on TikTok on purpose — everyone I knew was on Instagram, and I wasn't ready for them to see it. I wasn't sure how people would react. Even some of my friends thought it was too much. But I told myself: if anyone out there feels the way I do about these, this will work.
