Volo Frizz Out Hairbrush Review: Does It Actually Tame Frizz?
Frizz is one of the most common complaints I hear in the salon chair, so when the Volo Frizz Out Hairbrush came across my station, I tested it on several clients with different hair textures over a few weeks.
Design and Bristles
The brush uses a dense bristle pattern designed to smooth the cuticle as you brush, rather than just detangling. The handle has a comfortable grip that makes it easy to use during a full blowout without hand fatigue.
Results on Frizz-Prone Hair
On wavy and frizz-prone clients, brushing through with a blow dryer noticeably smoothed flyaways and left a glossier finish than their usual brush. It's not a miracle fix for very coarse, tightly-coiled textures, but on wavy-to-straight hair it performed well.
Everyday Use
Outside the salon, it also works well as a daily detangling and smoothing brush at home, and it's compact enough to travel with.
Pros
Pros: visibly smooths flyaways, comfortable grip, works well during blowouts, travel-friendly size.
Cons
Cons: less effective on very coarse or tightly-coiled hair textures; priced higher than basic drugstore brushes.
Final Verdict
For wavy-to-straight hair types dealing with frizz, this brush earns a spot in my kit. Check out the Volo Frizz Out Hairbrush here.
