Yankee Farmer's Market Meat CSA Subscription Review: Farm-Fresh Meat Delivered Monthly
Between grocery store meat that tastes like nothing and farmers markets I never have time to visit, I signed up for Yankee Farmer's Market's Meat CSA Subscription to see if it could actually solve my problem. A few months in, I'm not going back to shrink-wrapped supermarket meat.
What You Actually Get
The subscription rotates through farm-raised, all-natural, hormone- and antibiotic-free meats - buffalo, beef, pork, chicken, turkey, and wild-caught fish. There are three tiers: Single at $169/month, Double at $279/month, and Family at $399/month, rated 4.92 stars across 26 reviews.
Pickup or Ship
If you're near Warner or Stoddard, New Hampshire, you can pick up locally. Everyone else gets it shipped via UPS for a flat $15-18, which is reasonable considering what's inside the box.
Pros
Pros: genuinely hormone/antibiotic-free, wide meat variety in one box, flexible tier sizes, strong review rating, two convenient NH pickup spots.
Cons
Cons: monthly commitment isn't cheap, shipping outside pickup zones adds cost, you don't get to hand-pick every cut.
If you care about where your meat comes from and want to skip the sketchy supermarket supply chain, this is one of the more reliable ways to do it. Check out the Meat CSA Subscription here.
